I decide to call Rogers (my cellphone provider) to check it out. They’re not supposed to charge me for the phone I bought a couple of weeks ago. Supposedly if I tied myself up to a 3 year data plan, I could get my phone Blackberry Flip for 50$.
I call and explain this. The dude tells me “its in the system”.
Whatever is that supposed to mean? So I ask him, “I’m sorry, I don’t understand what that means for me, I just need you to remove that”.
But no. He says the system says I was told I was going to be charged 350 dollars.
I tell him “Its unnaceptable, I need to talk to someone who can revert that charge.”
“Ma’m, the only way is if you return your phone, we can refund you the $350, and you upgrade at a later time”.
Useless costumer service. Seriusly. “Can you transfer me to retention?”.
So I waited half an hour and nothing… I hang up. Call again and say immediately that I want to cancel my service. Wait 10 minutes.
A girl answers: “I’m sorry I’m going to transfer you to another agent, my system is down.”
Me: “Okay”. Really what else can you do?
5 minutes later. Same girl: “I’m sorry mam, you are going to have to call back in 2 hours or tomorrow.”
I hung up before I yelled at her.
