Get real. I am 29 and I cant say that I even now know how to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Do they think lowering the age to 18 will alleviate the binge drinking?! Realy?! If you want to do something, legalize the herb. I cant partake in it because I get drug tested for work but I know if I went on weed binges over booze binges the only thing that would suffer would be my ass due to massive amounts of oreos. Now I have to look through my text messages morning or afternoon (whenever the fuck I wake up) to recollect what my night consisted of. The brain cells are dying off and my liver hates my guts. You can drink in Canada @ 18 years old. It’s not that 18 is too young, it’s just that Americans are generally idiots about that kind of thing.
How the hell do you guys get drunk off of that piss-water combo you call Beer, anyway? 4%? LOL!
It’s not 18 all over Canada, apparently some of your provinces
are generally idiotsaren’t responsible until age 19.
Coming from a country (Venezuela) where the age limit (18) is not enfoced, I started drinking at 13. The first time I passed out from binge drinking, I was 14 years old. I had no car to drive and no money. You know how much trouble I got into? Zero. By the time I graduated, at 17, I was over the party binging, passing out drunk next to a pool, and falling asleep next to toilets. Before I reached legal age, I knew what drinks were great, what drinks knocked me out, what drinks gave me hangover, and I knew how much I could drink.
Personally, I think, the older you are when you start drinking the more chances you have of doing something stupid. As I personally witnessed when I went to college here in Canada. The idea of fun for 19 year olds was to see how many beers they could chug in 10 minutes. Which is all great, if you want to spend the night in a pool of your own vomit, possibly to die, with a sh!tload of marks from all the stupid messages people wrote on you when you passed out.
