Why Zipcar Rocks
The plan: get a rental for sunday around 7am, go snowboarding, be back by 4ish, give car back.
The first result: no results.
So I altered the plan to get it from 8pm the night before, and rent the car for 24 hours.
The result:
I am a bit baffled by this.
They’re not open on sunday. How can they not be open? And I tried other methods, rent it from the night before, tried maybe a bit later in the morning… all results are met with a barrier. I either can’t rent it early, or they’re not open, or the location is at an airport, or the car has to be back by noon.
How do you plan for a trip like mine?
I went to Zipcar. I found the closest car to my house (conveniently located a 20 second walk away), and all I have to do is show up sunday, swipe a card, and I’m in the car.
Sure its a bit more expensive, but hell, at least I’ll be driving a Mini, or a Wolkswagen, and all I have to do is show up to the car! My credit card gets billed automatically, and I will have nothing else to worry about.
