claudia: These were the choices?! Ghastly. No wonder they settled on the small “g”. Google is now taking suggestions for the new favicon. Via Valleywag and Zetahydrae I don’t really like the lowercase ‘g’ to be honest. Plus I’m a litle thrown off by the blue, though that I could get used to after a while. I think the part that bothers me the most is the shadow or the box around it, it looks like its a bad quality gif that they threw up there. Don’t know… I guess they can do what they want, people are not going to stop using their products because of a favicon, but its an odd decision for a company that generally does things so well and subtly —in my limited opinion I guess.
