[tech] SWFUploader firing an event on success
I just spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to get the SWFUploader to fire another javascript function after it successfully uploads the files.
I read through the documentation, went through the forums —not very helpful may I add, some of the replies directed people to read the documentation… even though the solution is not very clear there. Eventually I found...

I can’t believe that case got as far as it did. I can’t believe someone wanted to convict her either. I really have no tolerance for ignorance, and the prosecutor for that case should be fired.
[tech] stupid (embarrasing) discovery
I just found out that doing this: a href="#" onclick="$('some_div').show(); return false;" on a link, prevents the link from going to that non-existing anchor (#).
So, the page doesn’t move!
ps: javascript, is not my strong point.

I tried “Beach” and “Night Shade,” and stuck with the latter. I think I want to stick with just changing the colors, and not have some stupid picture at the top.
I’ve only been able to get used to “Shiny”. The other color combos are just…...

I really wish the absurd amount of money I spend on Rogers— my provider of internet, cellphone and cable, would, one day… actually be worth it.
Their customer service sucks. Their plans are absurd, and expensive. Though overall, what pisses me off the most is the sneaky way they have of charging you so much money.
Worst part is, its the best of the shitty services out there.

Like feature
I like it. I don’t see what the big deal is. Its a new feature. It doesn’t kill the reblog. It just adds more layers to the experience. For example, I’ll only reblog things I want on my homepage and want my friend/followers to view. I’ll “like” something if I just want to tell the poster that it was neat and interesting.
